Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon which occurs after the vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere. To translate… The vernal equinox occurs on March 21st. So to calculate when Easter is you find the next full moon after March 21st and then find the Sunday after that full moon.

This means the answer to today’s question is March 22nd is the earliest day of the year that Easter can fall on. This will not happen again until 2285.
